Flotsam and jetsam

So, I'm bored today, so here's some linkspam for the masses:

Since I haven't posted it yet, the new Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe trailer...it looks good!  Here's hoping!

Also somewhat movie-related, Star Dudes!  Really funny, and all in Flash format, too!

And keeping in theme, Angry Alien Productions' 30-second bunnies theater!  I think The Shining is my favorite...which says something, since I generally try to keep as far away from anything even hinting at being horror-ish as possible!

And some news: Carrie wins American Idol, thus proving that the people who vote for the newest Idol are complete idiots.  I mean, I only watched the show once and I knew Bo was the better singer/performer.  Grrrrr....stupid kids!

And really really un-serious, a website about brainfreeze!  Enough said...

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

I know, it sounded cheesy to me too.  And it's a kid's book.  And then I found that they had it on ereader for $3.99 and I could read it on my Palm.  So I said, hey, the movie's coming out next week, why not give it a chance.  And I blasted through the book in about 2 hours flat.  It's funny, poignant, very real, brings me back to when I was sixteen and looks mattered, every little event became magnified and was utterly real.  Sixteen-year-old girls are adult in thought if not in manners, and that shines through in the book.  So I went and watched the trailer online, and it looks like they might get it right in the movie as well.

Hmm, now to find someone who will see the movie with me...
