Lost: There's No Place Like Home (parts 2 & 3)
AAAUUUUGGGHH!!!!
Ahem. Okay. On to the show. Or, what bits I can put together into coherent sentences before I have to rewatch it again. And again.
Well, first of all, I was squealing when Locke was watching the Orchid station video and Halliwax/Candle was talking about the pocket of "negatively-charged exotic matter" aka wormhole stabilizer. Yay for actual science-y science fiction!
So, apparently, it's like if you put metal in a microwave; you blow a hole out the back of it. Which kind of begs the question, how did Ben know how to move the island? If he had to blow a hole through the back of the vault to get down to the wheel, obviously nobody had been down there since the Orchid station was built, so....how?
That said, I laughed hysterically when the island vanished, and there was just a ripple on the ocean left. Hurley: "Locke moved the island." Jack: "No he didn't!" Hurley (and me): *facepalm* Uh, it's gone, genius!
Which then begs the question, where did he move it to? Is the island going to pop out in the middle of Kansas or something? Or Russia?
Oh, speaking of the Russians, we so called that it was Penny's boat when we heard the Russians talking. (ETA: Yes, I know they're really Portuguese, but we think of them as "the Russians" because that's what we thought they were when they were first introduced way back when playing chess...okay?) Desmond found Penny! I admit it, I started crying...they're together!
RIP Jin and Michael...and all the other people on the boat. I wonder if the random Losties and Daniel will wash up somewhere unexpected next season?
Oh, and Hurley playing chess with Mr. Eko! Sayid taking Hurley someplace "safe"! Locke's the man in the coffin, aka Jeremy Bentham! Sigh...now to overanalyze this all summer long...
