Valentine: Daddy's Home
Well,
ravenclawed was right -- I thoroughly enjoyed this episode!
Liked the mini-exposition with Danny/Eros to get everybody straight. And yes, they are so setting Kate up to be his Psyche. LOL moment: When Ray/Hephaestus busts out with, "I'm the god of fire! The god of steel! The god of....blacksmithery!" Oh,Vulcan Hephaestus Ray, don't ever change. I'm thinking he confronts Danny after this though, given that Danny totally went back on his word to use the gun on Grace. Or was the plan to get her to catch Ari/Kate and then freeze him out? I'm still a little fuzzy on that point.
I still like Phoebe, even if I am a little annoyed by her automatic dislike of Kate. And her vision at the end was interesting -- I assume that's the setup for the arc for the rest of the season. Dead Grace/Aphrodite, in what looks like Ray/Hephaestus' shop. Hmm...I don't think this is going to make her like Kate better.
Ari/Ares cracked me up. Of course he drives a Hummer! And the whole Putin/Carla Bruni thing was fantastic. I was afraid he was going to do something...untoward with Kate's cat, though. The "plot" against the Olympian gods...could they be bringing in the Titans? That would be interesting -- wasn't Hercules one of the Titans, though? Or am I mixing my myths? Ah, back to good old Bulfinch's Mythology.
Heroes: Angels & Monsters
INTERESTING.
Okay, first, 'eww' with Mohinder the Spider-Man and his cocooned midnight snacks. The Petrellis are really center stage this season, aren't they? My question is, were Peter and Gabriel born with their abilities, now that we know Nathan was 'given' his? That seems to be the case, since their father (Papa Petrelli! Bedridden! Apparently with mind-control abilities!) and mother both have abilities.
So Matt's dad is working for Papa Petrelli and he's the one responsible for the Linderman visions? And I'm assuming that Daphne going to get Matt will somehow bring them together (since they were married in the future Matt saw).
OH! Hiro killed Ando! WTF?? I assumed he would stop time and get them out of there or create an illusion or something. This...cannot be good.
