So...update!

I know, I know, long time no write. There've been things. And stuff.
Things are awesome on the work-related front; I just got a raise and a lateral promotion (basically, my job description is changing so I can focus on what I like and they're hiring someone to do what I don't like) so yay! My first thought: more moneys for San Diego! :D
Speaking of San Diego, plans are coming along swimmingly and if the lovely Comic Con people would POST THE PROGRAMMING SCHEDULE ALREADY I could get into my full-on obsessive spreadsheeting mode. That'll probably be the first or second week of July, though. Also, our comic book collection now encompasses four boxes on our living room floor. There are databases. There are wishlists. There have been trips to multiple local shops in one day to try to hunt down one issue (or, in my case, a big chunk of Gail Simone's Birds of Prey run). I think we're good and hooked.
Oh, and speaking of the first week of July, I got called for federal jury duty (yes, right after I got called for county jury duty because I'm SUPER POPULAR) so that's what I'll be doing next week. I've still never actually been on a jury, despite having been called about 4 times so far, and I would like to be on one because it seems like it would be interesting. I'm crossing my fingers for this one, because as it's federal it's more likely to be tax evasion or counterfeiting or something, as opposed to assault or murder. I don't know if I could handle the violent-crimes type of evidence. But more on that later!
As far as the second week of July goes, I'm getting my new phone on the 11th from Best Buy; I preordered it last weekend. So, of course, my current phone bit the dust two nights ago. The touchscreen was dead and I was trying to do a software update and got stuck in the "calibrate screen" step. You have to tap the screen with the stylus and it wouldn't register or go forward. Or back. Tried a soft reset and a hard reset. Then tried taking the whole phone apart and putting it back together. No dice. So I dug my very old Sanyo flip phone out of storage (still attached to its charger) and called Sprint and had them port my number over to it temporarily. And now I'm twitching like an addict in withdrawal waiting for my new shiny phone. I'll have it in (*checks Google widget*) 2 weeks, 2 days, and 18 hours. But then I get a week to play with it and set it up before San Diego!
Singing is going well; Schola's last official Sunday is this Sunday, but I'm singing with some smaller groups at the church over the summer. We'll pick up our Gregorian chant workshop in the fall, and I'm debating taking voice lessons over the summer. You know, now that I'm a soprano and all. Have to keep up the diva image and everything.
So that's what's up in my corner of the cosmos! Um...any other good 30-day memes floating around out there?
