Ok, first part of the mid-season finale....go!
I think everything's really starting to come together. My mom said she had read that they were going for an Empire Strikes Back kind of cliffhanger feel with this set of episodes - my hope is that means we'll know the plan, but we have to wait to see how it plays out.

Loved seeing the flashforward of the Oceanic Six when they first got back - there's clearly something haunting them all. And how did Admiral Cain get to be a higher-up at Oceanic? Although, truthfully, Michelle Forbes was always Ensign Ro to me. But...after season 2 of BSG, I can't quite think of her as just Ensign Ro anymore. Which leads me to my unfallible conclusion that the higher-ups at Oceanic are evil and/or sinister. Because her and Abaddon leads to nothing good.
And how heartbreaking was Jack finding out Claire is his sister after they're off the island. I wonder (if she's still alive) if that provides the impetus for downward-spiraling Jack desperate to get back to the island.
And the Others are back! Led by one possibly time-traveling Richard Alpert! (Speaking of which, hee for Sawyer referring to the Barracks as New Otherton!) So at this point, the Oceanic Six are as follows:
Kate & Sayid: held captive by the Others, marching someplace (the temple? the Orchid station?)
Sun & Aaron: on the freighter with Jin, the boat people, and forty squillion pounds of C4
Jack: with Sawyer and Frank at the helicopter, on Ben/Hurley/Locke's trail
Hurley: with Ben and Locke at the Orchid station
And the promos for the next episode look like they're going to get off the island then (unless it's another flashforward), so how will they all cross paths? I can't wait to find out!
