This and that
Feb. 28th, 2007 04:27 pmNot much happening. Jessica and I went to the job fair today at the convention center. It was smaller than I was expecting but we got a lot of good info and now I just have to get online and start submitting resumes. It is a little annoying that you go all the way down to the job fair with resumes and then they tell you that the 'preferred method' of applying is to submit your resume online. Blargh.
Anyway, then we came back here and watched Beauty and the Beast. I love that movie so much. I'm still feeling kind of funky/moody, thanks to my dear friend the . who is visiting me this week. I should take some Midol before it gets too late, otherwise the caffeine will go straight to my head.
And we have a new show on Monday nights to watch now: The Black Donnellys. It's about 4 Irish-American brothers in New York; Kate Mulgrew (Captain Janeway from Star Trek: Voyager) plays their mom. There are some mob themes, it's sort of like The Sopranos but younger and cuter. The pilot episode was really good, so we're watching that on Monday nights now after 24 and Heroes. Monday nights are really filling up!
Currently, I'm looking for some Irish reading material for St. Patrick's Day. Last year, I read some Celtic mythology, and the year before last I read some historical fiction about the Easter Rising in 1916. Just have to figure out what I want to read this year...
