Well, my brand of retail therapy, anyway. In order, Fry's, Sephora, and the library.

First, I'll hit Fry's for components for my new computer. Mmm...I already have my list of stuff printed out. Come to Mama, you little nVidia GeForce 9600GT video card!

Then, I'll swing by Sephora to see what new prettifying stuff is out (plus I need more of my Philosophy face cleanser and Smashbox foundation primer).

And then, I'll fly by the library to pick up my books that are on hold (City of Ember, Flim-Flam! and Physics of the Impossible, in case you were wondering).

Then I go home, build my computer, read a book, and look gorgeous while doing it! I love being a girly geek! :)

The Greatest American Hero is being revamped as a comic book series, animated shorts, and a movie! Link here.

Further bulletins as events warrant.

Grrrrr....

I just had to explain to our sales supervisor how to use the wheel on her mouse.

This is the same woman who tries to explain to me how to push "the little green button" on the cell phone to answer it.

Six o'clock can't come soon enough. Then I will be blissfully immersed in building my new computer and it will all. just. fade. away.

Also, I may splurge and get a flat-panel 20" monitor. I currently have an old crappy Dell 17" CRT monitor and it will just be sad next to my new machine. My precioussssss....

Oh, and then I get to figure out my hard drive fiasco. Basically, my current hard drive is 80GB with Windows XP Home. I'm going to buy a 250GB or 500GB (depending on their sale) new drive, since I'm essentially on borrowed time anyway. So I have to decide whether to just ghost the drive, or to start from scratch with an OEM copy of Vista. Vista annoys me. But I don't think you can buy XP anymore...plus I heard that the 64-bit OS's take full advantage of the whole dual-core processor thing. Which, I may actually hit a point where that will be useful, so...

Any preferences out there on the interwebs (besides "get Linux")?
