NCIS and Heroes

I know, I'm behind! Gah...so many shows, so little time. Oh, and spoilers ahoy!
NCIS: Agent Afloat
Because of BSG, aircraft carrier = battlestar for me now. So much of the terminology is the same...so now I keep expecting to see Tyrol or Tigh on the USS Seahawk. *facepalm*
I liked the problems inherent with Tony being "the only cop in a city of 5000 people" and him having to be the hardass on the carrier. Well, in his Tony way, of course. Still a little bit too much Tony/Ziva UST for me, though. I don't know. I like them together, but I don't like it when Ziva is OBVIOUSLY pining over him or making clumsy analogies for how much she misses him. I just want them to be themselves, together.
Not sure how good the mystery is if I can call it...I'm notoriously bad at figuring these things out, so if I do, it probably wasn't that hard to begin with. I did like Gibbs' takedown-by-takeoff at the end though.
And I really like Vance as a foil for Gibbs. He's crafty enough to make Gibbs think, and that can only be a good thing. Tonight: the gang's all together again!
Heroes: I Am Become Death
WTH is up with Mohinder? He's seriously Jeff Goldblum in The Fly right now. And eww with the skin-peeling (a RASH? SERIOUSLY?)...
But this whole episode was worth it for daddy!SylarGabriel. Watching his interactions with Peter, I totally buy that they are brothers. Plus, their abilities are so similar. Which begs the question: Nathan's only power is that he can fly? Really? That seems like kind of a rip-off in that family. Here's Peter, who can absorb anyone's ability, and Gabriel, who can understand how anything works (and can thereby use anyone's ability), and Nathan, who...can fly. Good thing Adrian Pasdar is hot, s'all I'm saying.
Ways Matt Parkman can be more boring: Give him a turtle as a spirit guide. (Though, throughout the whole "power animal" conversation, all I could think of was Fight Club and Ed Norton in an ice cave with a penguin. "Slide.")
Liking the Tracy storyline; wonder when we get to meet "Barbara." And what her ability is. Does this mean Micah is gone? Aww. I loved the whole "I told your phone to find her phone and tell us how to get there" explanations.
I don't know -- so far this season has veered between completely cliche and completely fascinating. I vote for more fascinating.

I think they're going to touch on that in the next episode.

Hmm....curiouser and curiouser.

Date: 2008-10-08 01:00 am (UTC)Maybe. Though, every time I think he's doing something SINISTER, it turns out to be...not so much. So either he's really REALLY sneaky, or he's not eeeevil.
It could also be that I'm so happy Jenny's gone that I'm projecting that onto him or something.

Date: 2008-10-08 07:46 pm (UTC)Possibly. Maybe I just don't like him because we never even knew Jenny had an Assistant Director until she started flipping out over The Frog. It's like Vance just appeared out of nowhere (or just a really big plot hole).
