A plethora of television...

...all of which managed to make my brain explode. Well, except for NCIS. Thank you, NCIS. Onward!
That's all she wrote, folks!
Lost - Cabin Fever
First of all, I'm not even trying to keep the time difference straight between the freighter and the island anymore. Also, Richard Alpert travels in time, DOESN'T HE? Well, or he never ages. And the fact that he might be Locke's father is just squicky. Speaking of Locke, I liked his flashbacks (wow, they were actually flashbacks this time!). We learned that the island (and/or Jacob) has been trying to get a hold of him practically his entire life, and he was not cooperating. Could Jacob (and/or the island) have crashed flight 815 just to get Locke to the island?
Also, the whole 'we have to move the island' thing? Totally possible, according to my favorite physicist.
Oh, and the whole creepy Christian/Claire in the cabin thing? My mom thinks Claire's dead and it's not really Christian. I'm leaning toward it is Christian and Claire's alive still. Either Christian wasn't really dead, or he was reanimated via some sort of Island-induced Genesis Effect, or Richard the Time-Traveling Creep went back in time and fetched him. Or they're both really dead and are ghosts.

BSG - Faith
Ok, we'll start on the Demetrius. Can I just say I loved how the mutiny turned out? I love Helo. I thought I loved Helo before, but I really love Helo now. Shut up, Firefox, Helo is too spelled correctly. Plus, Kara totally did the right thing by immediately jumping to Gaeta's aid. A commenter on TWoP (I think?) said something about Galactica being a pirate ship, what with the eye patch and potential peg leg!
Kara's vision being the basestar (instead of a Ship of Lights or a comet) was unexpected and cool. Though I still think the similarities between Kara's circumstances and the description of the Ship of Lights are too close to not mean something, eventually. Loved Sam doing everything but shouting, "Hey, you guys, guess what? I'm a Cylon!" Loved Athena's interaction with the other Eights, and Natalie Six killing the other Six. You know how awesome these actresses are when it takes me a couple of days to figure out that the Natalie/Six kiss was special effects. Because they're played by the same actress.
Speaking of special effects, the basestar jumping in on top of the Demetrius was just cool.
Ah, Roslin. Just when you think the episode can't get meatier, there's lots more steak. (Also, hey, it's Kira Nerys!) Love that Roslin seems to be considering Baltar's words as, if not truth, then possibility. Also, she should keep the scarf and ditch the wig. And the last scene with Adama...now, I love them together, but I wouldn't characterize myself as an active 'shipper. And that last scene with the two of them had me squeeing and rocking on the sofa. And the music! She made him believe! *squeak*

NCIS - About Face
I'll say it. I loved this episode. I love Jimmy Palmer aka Mini Gibbs. Loved him taking off his glasses before ramming the truck. "I did not get out of the car!" Loved him using the Scrabble pieces to put the name together. Loved Abby hypnotizing him (and the look on her face when it worked!) and revealing his shoe fetish. Plus no Jenny angst and kickass Ziva - the makings of a great episode for me.

Date: 2008-05-14 09:59 pm (UTC)There was a preview, I didn't really watch it but there will apparently be more Jenny-angst (judging from the dramatic shots of Lauren Holly looking like someone over-blowdried her hair).
