Just as predicted, we start "two days ago" and this episode is devoted to what happened on the basestar. I may not be able to be entirely coherent, but...
Roslin's visions in the jumps were interesting. I liked the return of Elosha and her basically kicking Roslin's ass about losing her humanity. The scenes of Adama by her bedside as she died were heart-wrenching and I hope that's all we ever see - I don't think I could go through that again! Plus, she had her pre-cancer awesome hair again! Oh, and when Bill was reading, he said something about "Scar, the Cylon that saved my life." What was that about??
Ha - Baltar and Roslin bickering over the Hybrid. That made me giggle so much..."STOP JUMPING THE SHIP!!" "No, you're not doing it the way I'm doing it!"
Love D'Anna. "Permanent death? Well, that makes this all the more satisfying then..." LOVE. Although, did she kill Boomer too? Is Boomer dead? I thought they showed a quick shot of Boomer's body but I'm not sure. ETA: Just rewatched and no, Boomer runs away right after D'Anna snaps Cavil's neck.
Helo...oh, Helo. Notwithstanding the weirdness of "Hey, I wanted to know about Athena so I went and got her memories out of the fridge and hey now I'm her!" He always takes the stand that will cause him the most personal hell. In this case, it's choosing Roslin's orders over the trust of the Eight (and probably the other Cylons as well).
Baltar preaching to the Centurion was greeted with much facepalming in our house. Lots of "Oh, dear, this can go nowhere good..." And then the Centurion got blown to bits. Does this mean Baltar has to start over with another Centurion? Well, now that Roslin saved his life.
Plus, as John said, "Is Baltar the dying leader now?" There seem to be so many candidates, at the moment!
That was also fascinating, hearing Baltar confess giving the defense secrets to the Six. I totally thought she was going to let him die. And then she saved him....mostly because her Head!Elosha was yelling at her to.
D'Anna and Roslin...I think my heart stopped for a millisecond when D'Anna said, "You don't know that you're one of them?" Followed by me throwing things at the TV when she gave the "Just kidding - you should have seen your face?" follow up.
And then I started bawling as soon as Bill boarded the basestar (how...alliterative that sounds). I never thought I 'shipped them, but I was seriously bawling at the end. "I love you." "About time." Me = puddle. Fade to black. Me = throwing things at the TV again.
ETA: Bear updated his blog. That's the other thing that contributed to the bawling...the triumphant B theme of the Roslin/Adama music over the last scene. BAWLING.
All I have to say is, they better reveal the last Cylon next week! They have to, before hiatus, right? Right? *crickets*
I don't want to look for spoilers, because I don't want to be spoiled for anything specific (like who it is) but if anyone knows for sure that they will reveal the last Cylon next week, could you let me know just that? For the sake of breakable objects in my home? Thanks a bunch
